THQ Nordic officially announced Darksiders III's release date (November 27, 2018) on Monday as IGN's monthly coverage of the slasher continues. Recently, the website unveiled 11 minutes of gameplay footage and it seems that it was just a small beginning of the upcoming attractions. IGN has also uploaded their first impressions after spending a good chunk of time with Gunfire's Darksiders III.
The newly-released gameplay footage gives us a chance to see the designs of the two of the seven deadly sins, Sloth And Wrath. Sloth’s definitely the interesting one, as he's a giant, admittedly gross bug, sitting on a throne held by other bugs, buried in a sort of dungeon. According to Gunfire, the sins are intended to be a little cartoonish, and wholly distinct from one another, reflecting a part of Fury.
It's hard to not notice similarities to Prince of Persia: The Two Thrones analyzing the raw gameplay footage. Just like in that Ubisoft game, Fury uses her whip to slay grotesque enemies and traveling through bigger areas. Interestingly enough, the third of the Four Horsemen can transform herself during the playthrough, possessing new deadly weapons, attacks, and traversal abilities. Take a look:
Return to an apocalyptic Earth in Darksiders III, a hack-n-slash Action Adventure where players assume the role of FURY in her quest to hunt down and dispose of the Seven Deadly Sins. The most unpredictable and enigmatic of the Four Horsemen, FURY must succeed where many have failed – to bring balance to the forces that now ravage Earth. Darksiders III is the long-anticipated, third chapter in the critically-acclaimed Darksiders franchise.
Darksiders III will be available for PlayStation 4 , PC and Xbox One on November 27, 2018.
