Epic Games has been growing at a fast pace since the launch of hit builder shooter Fortnite. The company's store has been updated several times already and it has been giving free games to players. The latest title to join the freebies is a classic 16-bit game by the name of Axiom Verge.

Axiom Verge is developed and published by Thomas Happ Games, it hit the PlayStation 4 back in March 2015 and was made available for the PC on May 2015. The latest console to get it is the Nintendo Switch on October 2017.

Axiom Verge is best described as being a Metroid-esque title with a retro style and a 16-bit look. Fans and critics, for the most part, have been giving the title positive reviews. The game scored an 84% with Metacritic and an 84 with GameRankings as well.

For any PC players that want to get the game for free, all you have to do is log in to the Epic Store and claim the title from February 7 to February 21. Other Epic Games freebies include the Jackbox Party Pack, which is free until February 7.
