Hell Let Loose was founded back in 2017 after the successful campaign on Kickstarter. According to studio Black Matter, the PC exclusive is a shooter that will offer a variety of realistic multiplayer modes set during World War II, focusing on teamwork and communication. In
Hell Let Loose, each soldier beneath the leadership of officers and the force commander has an important role to fulfill.
Black Matter has announced a partnership with UK publisher Team17 to bring the game to Steam Early Access next year. "
Team17 have a long history of delivering robust and highly accomplished titles," Maximilian Rea, co-founder at Black Matter, said. "
Their philosophy of delivering a great final product whilst importantly allowing us to protect the unique identity of an FPS title like Hell Let Loose was a key factor in our partnership. A title this epic in scope posed a huge challenge for a small studio like us. Working with Team17 will allow us to focus on the development of the game while ensuring we deliver players the polished experience they expect."
The indie studio focuses not only on delivering an enjoyable experience, but also recreating the battlefields as accurately as possible, including weapons, armor, and maps, that are reconstructed from archival reference material and satellite photography of famous WW2 battles. The scope of
Hell Let Loose is also pretty impressive, bringing us battles featuring up to 100 players in a match.
