Sony Interactive Entertainment and Bend Studio's Days Gone has been in development for a little bit over two years now, after being announced during the 2016 E3. Ever since, the game has seen a few delays that ended up pushing the game back to its current, and definitive, release date.

Days Gone is now scheduled to release on the 26th of April and, with each and every update we get about Bend Studio's post-apocalyptic survival horror game, it seems like the delays have definitely paid off since it really looks like the developers have worked hard on creating a terrifying open world.

A couple of weeks ago, Sony released a new video for Days Gone, which introduced us to the game's massive open world, and provided details about the drifter bike — the game's main means of transport — and some survival tips that will help players, well, survive whatever comes their way.

Today we get yet another video that introduces us to the Freakers, Swarmers, Opportunists, Screamers, and the ominous Breakers — not to mention a wide variety of weapons that will make your life easier; if you manage to get hold of ammo, that is.

Take a look:

Set in the beautiful, volcanic scarred high-desert of the Pacific Northwest, Days Gone is an open-world action-adventure game where you play as Deacon St. John, a Drifter and bounty hunter who would rather risk the dangers of the broken road than live in one of the “safe” wilderness encampments.

Days Gone will be available for the PlayStation 4 on the 26th of April.
