Bend Studios'
Days Gone will see players taking control of Deacon St. John, in a massive open world infested with zombie-like creatures, that the game itself calls Freakers, which players will be able to explore at their leisure when the game finally releases a week from today — exclusively for the PlayStation 4.
To explore this massive world that Bend Studios has created for
Days Gone, Deacon will need to keep his motorbike in check — as this is his only means of transportation; one that will not only help him move from one point to the next, but also to escape some hairy situations.
With a huge world full of infested creatures, players will obviously have a few unexpected and unwanted encounters with some of these viscious Freakers or even other humans — forcing players to be even more careful when out and about, as there are threats everywhere.
The latest featurette for
Days Gone shows us the game's world, and reveals that not only will Deacon have to face Freakers in his journey, but also deal with other humans and even weather conditions that could make driving through mud a bit tricky.
Take a look:
Set in the beautiful, volcanic scarred high-desert of the Pacific Northwest, Days Gone is an open-world action-adventure game where you play as Deacon St. John, a Drifter and bounty hunter who would rather risk the dangers of the broken road than live in one of the “safe” wilderness encampments.
Days Gone will be available for the PlayStation 4 on the 26th of April.
