Sony has released a new trailer for Days Gone, this time putting the spotlight on the upcoming third-person shooter's most prominent characters, beautiful environments, endless waves of zombies, and obviously Deacon St. John, the game's main protagonist. In Days Gone, this bounty hunter (played by Sam Witwer) is facing an uneven struggle for survival while desperately searching for a reason to live.

To see the light of another day in this generally hostile environment, the hopeless antihero will have to use a variety of weapons and his old bike to fight for what is right – and what's left. Days Gone is set in the high-desert of the Pacific Northwest, but it doesn't mean that the scenery will be monotonous, as ever-changing weather and seasons will definitely make your big journey more interesting visually.

Considering that Days Gone will be launching next month, we should learn a whole lot more about the zombie sandbox in the coming weeks / days. Thankfully, the game has already gone gold, so there's a rather big chance that Sony won't decide to delay the title any further. In the meantime, be sure to take a closer look at Deacon and his wife Sarah in the aforementioned action-packed story trailer below:

At its core, Days Gone is about survivors and what makes them human: desperation, loss, madness, betrayal, friendship, brotherhood, regret, love—and hope. It's about how, even when confronted with such enormous tragedy, hope never dies. Play as Deacon St. John, a bounty hunter facing a brutal struggle for survival while searching for a reason to live.

Days Gone will be available for PlayStation 4 on April 26, 2019.
