Devil May Cry 5 is one of the titles that have spiked most interest among video game fans in recent months. After conquering many hearts in E3 and surprising us again in the past Gamescom, the title has been offering us details of its gameplay and its graphics every so often. But what about the downloadable content? Will the video game of Nero and Dante have digital extras or expansions? Its director Hideaki Itsuno who explains to Wccftech the policies of Capcom in this regard.
Itsuno is very clear in the interview. For him and Capcom, "Devil May Cry 5 is an experience designed for one player" and the downloadable contents "are not foreseen or contemplated", at least for the time being. The Japanese creative explains the importance of creating a new chapter in this saga, a continuation of Devil May Cry 4 and it will have a series of very special and direct links with Devil May Cry and Devil May Cry 2.
In relation to this, Itsuno explains that we will find winks and details related to the second part, which states that it is usually forgotten because it did not satisfy all the players. And that although the motorcycle that Dante releases in this fifth installment is completely new, yes we will stumble across some easter eggs. In fact, Hideaki Itsuno explains that this game will be about Nero and Dante, both being the main protagonists, and that their stories will be very important in the development of the plot, both with a role of equal weight.
Going into the gameplay, Hideaki Itsuno believes that Nero is a character designed to help less skilled players, an entry level hero so to speak, while Dante's control is much more refined, complex and with more difficult mechanics and techniques.
Devil May Cry 5 is the fifth installment in this third-person action game series or 'hack and slash' of Capcom. Retaking the saga after the release of the fourth part promises a return to the origins and a frantic and challenging gameplay with different characters.
Devil May Cry 5 hits stores on March 8, 2019 for the PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC.
