It looks like Capcom has decided to prevent Walmart Canada from spoiling this E3 2018 surprise, as the Japanese company recently registered DevilMayCry5.com indicating that an announcement for the long-awaited sequel might be happening soon. I would even say very soon, as the voice of Vergil from Devil May Cry 3: Dante’s Awakening, Daniel Southworth has posted a picture on Facebook featuring the series director Hideaki Itsuno with the E3 tag.
Southworth's post clearly suggests that Devil May Cry 5 will be announced next week at E3 2018, possibly during Sony's conference. The domain was registered on May 18 and will likely serve as the hub for all marketing related to the title. The site doesn't actually function right now, but it does exist and was registered by GMO Internet, the same company that previously worked with Capcom to secure domains for games like Resident Evil 7 and Monster Hunter World.
Interestingly enough, GMO has also registered ResidentEvil2.com, hinting that the long-rumored remake of Resident Evil 2 might be on the cards as well. There's a big chance that both Devil May Cry 5 and Resident Evil 2: Remake will be released before the end of May 2019, as Capcom has plans to launch at least two big-budget titles in the near future following the success of Monster Hunter: World.
