Devil May Cry 5 is the latest entry in the long-running
Devil May Cry series developed and published by Capcom—with the very first entry being released for the PlayStation 2 back in 2001.
The series was created by legendary game director Hideki Kamiya, who is responsible for directing a few masterpieces such as
Resident Evil 2,
Okami,
Bayonetta, and
Devil May Cry, of course.

Devil May Cry 4, which was released a decade ago—so it was about time Capcom finally started working on a sequel. This game introduced us to Nero who is one of the game's main protagonists alongside Dante—the series' main protagonist—. Nero was introduced first as some sort of rival to Dante but later on as allies.
Devil May Cry 5 was finally announced, after a bunch of rumours and leaks, during this year's E3—finally giving fans what they had been clamouring for for almost a decade. Dante and Nero will return as the game's main protagonists and this new trailer released for
Devil May Cry 5 focuses on Nero and the classic hack and slash the series has always been known for.
