The last four remaining lead characters in the upcoming Among Us animated TV series have been revealed. And an already stacked cast has gotten even more star power.
As confirmed on social media, Debra Wilson (Star Wars Jedi: Survivor), Patton Oswalt (Ratatouille), Phil LaMarr (Futurama), and Wayne Knight (Jurassic Park, Seinfeld) are the newest additions to the cast.
Wilson will voice "Yellow," one of the ship's cooks described as an "indignant, opinionated prankster." She's also best friends with "Brown," the ship's second cook who will be voiced by Phil LaMarr. "Brown" is also best friends with "Yellow" but more "chill, supportive" and "accountable."
Patton Oswalt will voice "White" a wealthy contest winner. And rounding out the cast is Wayne Knight as the voice of "Lime," the ship's Engineer. A "Doomsday prepper" and "conspiracy theorist," Lime is tasked with "getting tuff pretty much mostly fixed-ish" and is "afraid of intimacy."
These four talented actors join an already stacked cast that includes Dan Stevens (Solar Opposites), Liv Hewson (Yellowjackets), and Kimiko Glenn (Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse), Randall Park (Always Be My Maybe), Yvette Nicole Brown (Community), Elijah Wood (The Lord of the Rings trilogy), and Ashley Johnson (The Last of Us).
When asked why the show's cast is so stacked with talent, the Among Us social media team replied: "Tried our best!!! Really honored people agreed to be part of this too."
The Among Us animated series is based on the popular online social deduction game of the same name. The series will follow the game's basic premise: “Members of your crew have been replaced by an alien shapeshifter intent on causing confusion, sabotaging the ship, and killing everyone. Root out the ‘Impostor’ or fall victim to its murderous designs.”
In the game, players are divided into two groups: Crewmates and Impostors. Crewmates must work together to complete tasks around the ship while also trying to identify the Impostors. At the same time, the Impostors are working to kill the crewmates.
The Among Us animated series is created and produced by Owen Dennis with CBS Studios and game developer Innersloth. CBS Studios' animation branch Eye Animation Productions is developing the series in partnership with Innersloth.
There's still no release date for the Among Us animated series, nor does it have a place to call home yet as no network or streaming service is attached to the project.
