A couple of months back, rumoured swirled that Techland were at work on a Nintendo Switch port of Call of Juarez: Gunslinger — whilst also and more predominantly working on the upcoming sequel to Dying Light. Now it's all but confirmed that the first-person shooter will be coming to the versatile Nintendo system.

The Entertainment Software Ratings Board recently posted a new listing which pertains to Call of Juarez: Gunslinger and is certainly in reference to a version of the game for the Nintendo Switch as the site specifies as such — not to mention that the shooter initially launched all the way back in 2013 for the previous generation of consoles.

Naturally, Call of Juarez: Gunslinger has garnered an M-rating from the ESRB as it's quite violent and vulgar. You can read through the ratings board's reasoning for its rating below or over on their official website.

This is a first-person shooter in which players assume the role of a gunslinger named Silas Greaves. Players use pistols, shotguns, and rifles o shoot and kill dozens of enemy bandits/thugs in gun fights. Shootouts are highlighted by realistic gunfire, cries of pain, slow-motion effects, and large splashes of blood, which sometimes stain the ground. Each level ends with a duel in which players must draw and aim a gun to kill an opponent. Some dialogue in the game includes sexual material (e.g., “While you're off providing for the family, she's spreading her legs for every Tom, Dick, and Cole Younger!”). The words “f**k,” “sh*t,” and “c**ksucker” appear in dialogue.

Despite the new post by the ESRB, Techland themselves are yet to officially announce the port. Expect that to occur within the coming days or weeks. We'll likely see gameplay and find out when Call of Juarez: Gunslinger will be releasing on the Switch. So, stay tuned to Gamefragger as we'll be sure to cover it.
