Sega Has Announced That TEAM SONIC RACING Has Been Delayed To 2019

Sega has recently announced that Team Sonic Racing will not be releasing this Winter, like previously anticipated, and instead will release in the first quarter of 2019.

Team Sonic Racing is Sega's new racing game that brings together characters from their popular Sonic the Hedgehog series. Unlike previous racing titles like the Sonic & All Stars Racing series, this new game will only be featuring characters from the Sonic series and not other Sega franchises.

The game was teased earlier this year but we didn't get an official name or announcement for the game until this year's E3, when Sega released a high octane trailer showing off some of the characters, vehicles, and tracks players will find when the game launched.

Although Sega didn't specifically give us a release date, they assured that Team Sonic Racing would become available for home consoles and PC this Winter. Sadly, the game has been officially pushed back and will not be releasing this year. The good news is that we now have an official release date, and the game will come out for the PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch, Xbox One, and Steam on the 21st of May in 2019.

Team Sonic Racing arrives this Winter! Race in a team with your friends (or against them) both offline and online, and choose from a variety of characters and tracks in the Sonic universe!

Team Sonic Racing will be available for the PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch, Xbox One, and Steam on the 21st of May in 2019.
