Druidstone: The Secret of the Menhir Forest is coming to PC on May 15th, developer Ctrl Alt Ninja has announced. Considering that
Druidstone is a tactical, turn-based RPG from the makers of
Legend of Grimrock games, those who miss
Neverwinter Nights should definitely keep an eye on the new title.
In
The Secret of the Menhir Forest, you play as Leonhard, Aava and Oiko, the main characters who will "
meet up with unexpected companions and villains, each with their unique personalities and abilities" along the way. According to Ctrl Alt Ninja,
Druidstone's plot will be centered around love and death, but it's unclear what it actually means – as "
every action, every turn counts as you control your party of heroes through challenging, handcrafted missions in the ancient, mist-clad Menhir Forest."
At its core,
Druidstone is a modern role-playing project, featuring plenty of hand-crafted missions with playtimes ranging from 15 minutes to 45 minutes. While
The Secret of the Menhir Forest will reportedly debut as a full package, you will also be able to play custom missions created by other players or make your own campaigns with the upcoming
Druidstone Level Editor available as a post release expansion.
