Sega's
Yakuza Kiwami is a remastered version of the original
Yakuza game that came out for the PlayStation 2 back in 2005. This remastered version was originally released for the PlayStation 4 in January of 2016.
Ryu ga Gotoku Studios had already been porting the
Yakuza series to PC; with
Yakuza 0 being the very first title to make its way into the aforementioned platform. This led PC players to believe that there was a chance the Yakuza series could end up being ported in its entirety to PC.
Late in January, Steam teased
Yakuza Kiwami for PC; pretty much unofficially confirming that Ryu ga Gotoku and Sega's acclaimed
Yakuza title was soon to be released. A day after the tease, Sega officially confirmed that
Yakuza Kiwami was going to be releasing for PC on the 19th of February.
Today, PC players will be happy to know that
Yakuza Kiwami has just been released today, and Sega has shared an accolades trailer — that also serves as a proper launch trailer for the game — flaunting all of the magnificent reviews the game has been getting.
