Focus Home Interactive's space RTS
Battlefleet Gothic: Armada 2 finally launches January 24, 2019, exclusively on PC, bringing all the chaos and destruction of
Warhammer 40,000 fleet battles to life. While you will have a chance to battle your friends and strangers in the skirmish and multiplayer modes,
Armada 2 comes with three campaigns letting you control three unique factions at war.
Those faction will include humanity’s combined Imperial forces, the ancient re-awakened Necron empire, and finally the ravenous extra-galactic horde of the Tyranid Hive Fleets. The latest gameplay trailer for the upcoming sequel breaks down every facet of
Armada 2’s single-player offerings, as every campaign will also be playable in co-op, with two players controlling a split fleet in each battle.
The publisher has also announced the second pre-order beta, running from January 15 until launch, giving players an opportunity to go hands-on with the campaigns as the first sectors of the Imperial and Necron storylines will be available to play. This beta will also feature all the multiplayer and skirmish options, including the 12 playable factions, the 80+ subfactions, and custom map options with special environmental effects from the first beta updated with brand new balance adjustments and bug fixes.
Battlefleet Gothic: Armada 2 is the new real-time strategy game adapted from Games Workshop’s famous tabletop game that portrays the epic space battles of the Warhammer 40,000 universe. Expanding on the groundwork laid out by the first game, Battlefleet Gothic: Armada 2 is a full-blown sequel - bigger, richer, more impressive and more ambitious than the original game. It will include, at launch, all 12 factions from the original tabletop game and its expansions it is based on: the Imperial Navy, Space Marines, Adeptus Mechanicus, Necrons, Chaos, Aeldari Corsairs, Aeldari Craftworld, Drukhari, the T’au Merchant and Protector Fleets, Orks, and finally, the Tyranids.
